"My 19-year-old daughter, Beverly, lives in Farmingdale, works at Target and is a third year Biology major at SUNY Potsdam. As a father raising a daughter on Long Island, I have a sense of pride in Beverly's academic achievements and in her growth as a mature, empathetic and socially aware young woman with many opportunities I did not have at her age." - Fred Holtz

"The best parts of raising a family in Farmingdale are the quality of the schools, the safety and quiet of the neighborhoods, and the great care everyone takes in maintaining their houses and property. All our neighbors are great and most have been here as long, or longer, than us (29 years)."  - Hans Wenze

"[The best part] is taking advantage of all Farmingdale has to offer to bring up my children over the years. It's a unique community with its caring local businesses, fantastic school district and all the volunteer community organizations." - Dan Kornfeld

"To be a father in South Farmingdale means that I have access to excellent educational and sports related activities for my two boys. As for fatherhood in general its the most backhanded blessing, I love my boys. They are just like me and wife. Just  like us." - Eric Zseller
