Brosnan Selected for Grand Slam Challenge

He will represent Farmingdale in the annual high school baseball all-star game.

senior Alex Brosnan has been selected to play in this year's RTC Rawlings Grand Slam Challenge.

The game, which pins the best in Suffolk against the top players in Nassau, will take place at Friday, June 10 at 7 p.m.

Brosnan is an All-County pitcher who went 4-0 with a 0.72 ERA and 55 K’s along with a save last year.

Suffolk County, which will be coached by Patchogue-Medford's Anthony Frascogna, leads the all-time series, 5-1. Nassau County will be coached East Meadow's Ken Sicoli.

This year some of Long Island's top players will be Duke-bound Remy Janco from Hills West, Cameron Sorgie from Floyd, and Lindenhurst's Stephen Skon.
