Chef Mary Ann Esposito Draws Crowd at Farmingdale Library

She spoke and signed cookbooks for residents.

Nearly 200 residents came out Thursday night to hear cookbook author and television host Mary Ann Esposito speak and sign books at the

"I hate everything in a can. Campbell's must hate me," Esposito told the crowd.

She spoke about instilling a love of cooking in the next generation and about being able to journey to Italy through food if you can't make the physical trip. Her new cookbook Ciao Italia Family Classics: More than 200 Treasured Recipes from 3 Generation of Italian Cooks was available for sale.

Esposito is the creator of the Ciao Italia show and has written 12 cookbooks, including Celebrations Italian Style and What You Knead.

"Things are busier for us then they were for our mom's," Esposito said. "But I don't buy the argument that you don't have time to cook."
