Medal of Honor Recipient Visits Airpower Museum

The event was hosted by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Vietnam War Veteran Col. Jack Jacobs, who is a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, visited Farmingdale's Tuesday, as part of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's "A Celebration of Our Freedom" event.

The Congressional Medal of Honor is the nation's highest award for valor in military service and the event highlighted the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation's new book about the recipients of this commendation.

In addition to Col. Jacobs' keynote address, the event featured a presentation of the flag by a Marine Corps Color Guard, a tour of the museum's vintage aircraft from World War II and a reception.
