Crime Report: Unlawful Marijuana Possession

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Farmingdale.

 

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police DepartmentNassau County Police Department and New York State Police Troop L.  It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

  • Carlos Santillana, of Mastic, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 9 and charged with criminal contempt.
  • John Gaines, of Copiague, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 9 and charged with petit larceny.
  • Douglas Collins, of Amityville, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 9 and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.
  • Yonny Piedrahita Romero, of Farmingdale was arrested on Jan. 8 on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle and traffic law.
  • Arnold Lemaire, of Farmingdale, was arrested in North Lindenhurst on Jan. 7 and charged with harassment and criminal mischief with the intent to damage property.
  • Vinnie Turcio, of Amityville, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 7 and charged with leaving the scene of a probe.
  • John Crenshaw, of Deer Park, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 6 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • Alexi Garcia, of Farmingdale, was arrested in North Amityville on Jan 6 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Incidents

  • On Jan. 12, police arrested a Wyandanch man in connection with a South Farmingdale liquor store robbery in September. According to eighth squad detectives, Terrell A. Russell, 34, entered County Wine and Liquor on Main Street through the roof at around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 13. Police said that once inside the defendant removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, New York Lottery tickets and a laptop computer. The defendant was identified through physical evidence left behind at the scene, police said, and was arrested by eighth squad detectives at noon on Jan. 12. Russell is charged with one count of burglary in the third degree.
  • On Jan. 9, police reported that four males had a confrontation on Carmens Road in East Farmingdale.
