Farmingdale Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

The accident occurred in Hicksville on Tuesday.

A Farmingdale man died yesterday after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Hickville, Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, Robert Depasquale, 59, was traveling eastbound on Duffy Ave., on a 2010 Harley Davidson, when he hit a 1994 Honda in the side. The Honda, which was driven by a 74-year-old male, was exiting West Nicholai St. and making a left onto Duffy Avenue at around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Depasquale was transported to Nassau University Medical Center by a County ambulance, where he was pronounced dead at 3:53 p.m. There were no injuries reported for the driver of the Honda, according to police.

Detective Rubino reports that there is no apparent criminality at this time, but both vehicles were impounded from the scene for brake and safety inspections.
