Farmingdale Student Receives Scholarship from NEFCU
Roberto Cantos was one of eight residents to win.
alumni Roberto Cantos has been awarded a $1,000 Family Scholarship by NEFCU to fund his college education.
The NEFCU Scholarship Committee recognized eight high school students from Long Island schools for their academic achievements and valued service to the community.
The scholarship opportunity was open to all graduating high school seniors. The students were selected out of 100 applicants, based on high school averages, school activities, community service transcripts and personal essays.

“We would like to congratulate Roberto for his exemplary academic achievements and the commitment he has shown to his community throughout his four years of high school,” said Valerie Garguilo, vice president of Marketing and Community Relations for NEFCU. “Our “Family Scholarship” reflects our strong commitment to our local students and we are proud to help further Roberto’s education.”
