Farmingdale Teen Charged with Massapequa Car Damage

More than 20 vehicles were vandalized, police said.

A Farmingdale teen has been arrested and charged with vandalizing numerous vehicles in Massapequa back in February, Nassau County Police said on Tuesday.

According to Seventh Squad detectives, 19-year-old Tyler Jensen, of Farmingdale, , specifically in the vecinity of Lakeshore Boulevard. Authorities received the first report at around 4 a.m. on Feb. 19 and reports of vandalism continued into the afternoon.

  • A 1992 Plymouth that had its rear window broken on Locust Street.
  • A 2004 Infiniti that had its rear window shattered on Lincoln Avenue.
  • A 2002 Volvo that had its rear window broken on Prospect Place.
  • A 2003 Honda that had its rear window smashed on Ocean Avenue.
  • A 2011 Jeep that had its rear window broken on Hawthorne Street.
  • A 1993 Saturn that had its rear window broken on Bannon Place.
  • A Mercury that had its rear window broken on Abbey Street.
  • A 2009 Nissan that had its driver’s side mirror shattered on Brendan Avenue.
  • A 1995 Ford hthat ad its driver’s side front window broken on Linden Street.
  • A 1994 Saturn that had its driver’s side window broken while parked at Sunrise Highway and New York Avenue.
  • A 2004 Chevrolet that had its driver’s side mirror broken on Fitzmaurice Street.
  • The front windshield of a 2012 Subaru which was smashed while parked at New York Avenue and Tyrconnell Avenue.
  • The rear window of a 1998 Lexus which was damaged on Cherry Street.
  • A 2001 Chevrolet that had its front windshield broken on Lakeshore Drive.
  • The rear window of a 2011 Volkswagen that had its rear window broken on Sycamore Street.
  • A 2008 KIA that had its driver’s side view mirror damaged on Sycamore Street.
  • The driver’s side window of a 1992 Toyota which was broken on North Oak Street.
  • A 2011 Toyota that had its driver’s side view mirror broken on Seaford Avenue.
  • The front windshield of a 2005 Ford that was broken on Lakeshore Boulevard

Police said at this time they believe Jensen worked alone. He is charged with 16 counts of criminal mischief in the second degree and 11 counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
