Free CPR Course Offered for Residents

It will be at the Freeport Recreation Center on Oct. 22 from 10 to11 am.

There will be a free CPR course for residents at the Freeport Recreation Center
on Oct. 22 from 10 to 11 am.

The course, which is sponsored by Senator Charles Fuschillo, Jr., R-Merrick and the American Red Cross, is designed to teach residents what to do in a situation where someone needs CPR.

Program participants will learn hands-only CPR techniques from a certified CPR instructor and be able to practice CPR chest compressions on a mannequin. AED demonstrations will be also be performed.

There is no minimum age or prerequisites to participate. Those interested in taking part in the program must register prior to the event by calling Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
