Party Announces Ticket for Farmingdale Village Election

Incumbents Ralph Ekstrand and William Barrett and newcomer Thomas Ryan are running on the Farmingdale 2035 ticket.

As the March Village of Farmingdale election nears, the Farmingdale 2035 party has announced their candidates for the upcoming race.

The ticket includes current trustees Ralph Ekstrand and William Barrett and newcomer Thomas Ryan.

Four-year trustee Ekstrand, a part-owner and pharmacist at for the past 31 years, will run for mayor, the seat vacant . Barrett, a CPA, is seeking re-election for the trustee position he has held for the past four years and Ryan, the CEO of the Farmingdale healthcare company Homecare Concepts Inc., will also run for an open trustee position.

The Farmingdale 2035 party says they are "committed to planning for Farmingdale’s future," by bringing local business experience to village government. The trio will face the Village Independent Party,

Eckstrand has served on boards for various institutions, such as the Eagle Scout Review Board, the , the Rotary Club and the . Barrett has an MBA, volunteered as a youth soccer and baseball coach in Farmingdale community and is currently a member of the Farmingdale School District’s audit committee. Ryan was named "Homecare Champion" in 2011 from the American Association for Homecare for his Farmingdale company, is a past member of the  and is currently a board member of St. Joseph's Hospital on the Finance Committee and Quality Committee.
