Remembering Residents Lost on 9/11 [VIDEO]

A tribute to those from Farmingdale who died that day.

The Farmingdale community remembers these residents who lost their lives on 9/11 10 years ago today.

Vincent G. Danz
Danz, 38, was a New York Police officer part of the Emergency Service Unit who perished while helping others escape from the Trade Center towers. He is survived by his wife Angela and three children Winifred, Emily and Abigail. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the highest award that may be bestowed upon a member of the service.

Anna DeBin
Debin, 30, was executive assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald who came to the United States in 1985 at the age of 14 from Poland. She lived with her husband, George, and then 2-year-old son, Timothy, in East Farmingdale.

Erwin Erker
Erker, 41, was a systems analyst at Marsh & McLennan on the 97th floor of the north tower. He lived with his wife Ann and kids and Andrew in Farmingdale. He loved to travel.

Thomas Gambino Jr.
Gambino was an 18-year veteran of the New York City Fire Department and had spent the last 18 months prior to 9/11 in Rescue 3. He left behind a wife and two sons.

Peter J. Ganci
Ganci, 54, was the New York City Fire Department's highest-ranking uniformed officer. He was personally commanding the rescue efforts when the building collapsed and had spoken to the mayor only minutes before. He is survived by his wife Kathleen and kids Peter, Christopher and Danielle.

Paul Hamilton Geier
Geier, 36, was a broker at eSpeed. He was one of two brokers not fired from his 22-person desk the Friday before 9/11. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Gary Herold
Herold, 44, was a risk management supervisor at the Aon Corporation in the World Trade Center. He is survived by his wife Angela and daughters, Jennifer, Ashley and Lyndsey.

James Patrick Hopper
Hopper, 52, was a security guard at Cantor Fitzgerald on the 101st - 105th floors of the north tower. He is survived by his wife Rita and children James and Lauren. His brother-in-law, retired police officer Richard N. Poulos, also died in the attacks.

Lester Marino
Marino was a veteran electrician who worked in the World Trade Center. He was working in the Cantor Fitzgerald offices on the 105th floor on 9/11. He was an outdoorsman who liked to spend time outside with his four children.

Kathy Nancy Mazza-Delosh
Mazza-Delosh, 46, was a captain in the Port Authority police. She was last seen on the mezzanine of the north tower helping carry out a woman in a rescue chair. Prior the the Port Authority police she worked for a decade as a cardiac nurse at St. Francis Hospital. She is survived by her husband Christopher Delosh.

Patrick J. O'Shea
O'Shea, 45, was a floor manager and first vice president for Carr Futures, who worked on the 92nd floor of Tower One. He is survived by his wife Sheila and children Patrick and Megan.

Lt. Christopher Sullivan
Sullivan, 45, was a firefighter at Ladder 11 and Engine 214 in Brooklyn. He is survived by his wife Dolores and sons Sean and Brian.
