Rotary Club Hosts Car Show

The car exhibit will take place Sunday.

The Farmingdale Rotary Club is hosting a classic car show this weekend to benefit many community intiatives.

The show will feature antique, custom and street cars and will take place Sunday, Aug. 7 from 1 – 5 p.m. in Municipal Parking Lot #2 behind

First, second and third place trophies will be awarded to cars and the first 100 cars will receive dash plaque. Show cars must be in the parking lot by 12:30 p.m. to be judged.

For those interested in showing their car, pre-registration of show cars is $15 and day of show registration $20. See the registration form in the gallery to register.

All proceeds go to the Farmingdale Breakfast Rotary Club Foundation, which serves the community throughout the year by providing meals for the needy and assisting Farmingdale families in crisis, awarding scholarships to students, sponsoring Youth Council Farmingdale baseball and supporting the Farmingdale Summit Family Fund.

The group also contributes to Rotary International’s Gift of Life, providing life-saving heart surgery to children around the world and Rotocare, a Rotary program offering healthcare to those in need.
