TOBAY Notebook: Family Football Day

The event will take place at Burns Park on Aug. 13.

The Town of Oyster Bay is hosting an opportunity for residents to learn from local players and coaches at Family Football Day at John J. Burns Town Park on Saturday, Aug. 13.

“The day’s events represent a unique experience for residents of the town because the Head Coach of the Stony Brook University Seawolves has agreed to wear a microphone during the practice, giving attendees the perspective of being inside the huddle,” said Supervisor John Venditto. “Attendees will discover some of the complex strategy and nuances that go into a making top NCAA football program.”

Stony Brook University Head Football Coach Chuck Priore said the team is looking forward to the event. ""We're excited for the opportunity for work with youngsters, as well as scrimmage in front of our fans," he said.
