TOBAY Notebook: Supervisor's Cup

The town will host a charity hockey challenge this week.

The Town of Oyster Bay will host its second annual College Hockey Challenge on Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m.

All residents are invited to watch the Hofstra University Pride Ice take on the Fordham University Rams in men’s ice hockey at the TOBAY Ice Skating Center in Bethpage. The winner will be awarded the Supervisor’s Cup.

“This game will showcase some of the best talent in the area,” Supervisor John Venditto said.

Admission to the game is free, but residents are encouraged to donate two canned goods, which will be collected at the event by Island Harvest as part of "Hockey Fights Hunger." Holiday greeting cards will be available in the lobby for residents to fill out prior to and during the show to send overseas to troops as
part of the American Red Cross "Holiday Mail for Heroes" Program.
