Tuskegee Airmen Visit Airpower Museum

Tuskegee airman Julius Freeman was one of the men who spoke to visitors about his years on the legendary squadron, an all-black World War II fighter squadron that was sent to North Africa and Italy to escort white bomber pilots. The airmen were at the museum on both Saturday and Sunday for visitors to meet.

The movie "Red Tails" portrays how the squadron consisted of some of the best fighter pilots in the Air Corps and is directed by Anthony Hemingway. It stars Terrence Howard, Nate Parker, Tristan Wilds, Elijah Kelley and Leslie Odom Jr.
