Nassau Legislature Race: Candidate Joseph Belesi
Belesi is the Republican incumbent running for the 14th district seat of the Nassau County Legislature.
Belesi, who has been a Farmingdale resident for 39 years, was elected in 2009. He is the recipient of the Purple Heart for his service to the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he was the first Nassau County Police Officer to be elected to the legislature. He served as an officer and later as a supervisor for the Nassau County Police Department for more than 32 years.
