VIDEO: Farmingdale Community Summit 9/11 Remembrance Walk
Residents gathered Thursday to remember those lost 10 years ago.
On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the Farmingdale Community Summit organized a Remembrance Walk from the Mazza monument at to the on Thursday night.
Residents joined the Nassau County Firefighters Pipe and Drum and all four local fire departments (Farmingdale, East Farmingdale, South Farmingdale and North Massapequa) for the walk before a commemorative service at the library.
The service included performances by the choir and the addition of a piece of steel from the twin towers to the existing library monuments.
