Whiz Kid: Rob Golebiewski

Each week we are honoring Farmingdale students doing great things.

Each week, Farmingdale Patch will seek from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. Accomplishment: On Friday March 11, a select group of Farmingdale High School students attended the Long Island Youth Summit to meet with science and business leaders to learn and address issues on Long Island. The group of 10 students were invited by a selection committee who chose their projects and they were each awarded a gift of knowledge certificate for $500. 

Rob Golebiewski, a junior at Farmingdale High School, submitted a colored pencil drawing that incorporated his research, responses to written questions on the back and a professional drawing summary to share the vision he had during the production of his artwork.  Rob won one of the three best in show awards for the art category and received an additional gift of knowledge certificate worth $2,000.
