Whiz Kids: Farmingdale High School Choir

Each week we are honoring Farmingdale students doing great things.

Each week, Farmingdale Patch seeks from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.  Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to amandaf@patch.com. Be sure to include all of the following information.

Name: Farmingdale High School Choir

School:

Accomplishment: Under the direction of teacher Michelle Lindsley, the choir was featured on Good Day New York's Glee Club segment last week. Entertainment reporter Julie Chang visited Farmingdale to interview the students and the students were taped performing "'Hey Mambo" by Barry Manilow and a version of "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. The Fox5 segment profiles local choirs each week, like the fictional one from McKinley High School on the hit show Glee. Check out the segment here.
