Creative Writing Group Meets at Library
Here are the big events in and around Farmingdale today: Wednesday Aug. 28, 2013.
1. The Farmingdale Library hosts a Creative Writing Group open to all. Tonight's session runs from 7-9 p.m. Writers read what their work and share ideas with others. See details here.
2. Did you read about the Wyandanch man who survived after he was struck by a freight train by the Hicksville station. Read it here.
4. Farmingdale Schools won't open until Monday open until Monday Sept. 9 because Labor Day week also coincides with Rosh Hashanah on Thursday and Friday. You can see the school-year schedule here.
4. If your civic group, church or synagogue is planning a public event, there's no easier way to get the word out on our "Boards." Click here for the free exposure. It's free, and we often highlight your events in this column.
5. Today's weather: Mostly cloudy, chance of thunderstorms. Thursday and Friday should be much nicer.
