EAC NETWORK PARTICIPATES IN THE NYC HALF MARATHON AND RAISES OVER $11,000 FOR ITS NYC PROGRAMS

EAC Network participated in the New York Road Runners Annual New York City Half Marathon on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 and raised over $11,000 to help support the agency’s NYC programs and services.

EAC Network was chosen as an official Charity Partner of the NYC Half Marathon and secured seven spots for runners who represented the organization to run the 13.1 mile course. Four racers are current EAC Network employees, and one is Carmine Inserra of NAI Long Island, a current Board Member and former Board of Directors’ Chairman. “Having the support and words of encouragement throughout my training and then knowing my family and colleagues were waiting for me at the finish line was priceless,” stated Karen Jensen, Executive Assistant of EAC Network. “I am extremely grateful for the generosity of all those who supported me and my fellow runners in making this day a success.”

The NYC Half Marathon is one of the city’s most popular running events each year. More than 20,000 runners aged 13 to 82 participated in the 13.1 mile race and were treated to many of the city's world-famous sights, including Broadway, Times Square, and Battery Park, just to name a few. This was EAC Network’s first participation in the event, and the agency hopes to participate in the NYC Half Marathon in 2015.
