DogFest at Farmingdale State College

Why Go:
The Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) DogFest annual fundraising/walk-a-thon event includes vendors, dog demonstrations and agility course. It's on the Great Lawn and in the Roosevelt Hall Multipurpose Room.

Farmingdale Columbus Day Parade

Where: Main Street
When:
Oct. 9, 6 p.m.
Why Go:
Watch fire department officials, the Farmingdale High School marching band and other community groups march in the annual parade. There will be fireworks at 10 p.m.
