Officials: Roadwork on Farmingdale's Secatogue Avenue Until Sept. 1

Expect road work until Sept. 1, officials said.

Expect the road to be closed on Secatogue Avenue between Eastern Parkway and the Long Island Rail Road tracks in Farmingdale until Sept. 1, authorities said.

The closure is required in order to complete all underground utility, drainage and sewers, and to avoid issues during any future hurricanes and storms, according to the Farmingdale Village.

Residents and commuters are asked to allow extra time to navigate around the development projects safely.
