Organization Hosting Unique Tastes in Farmingdale

Event at Stuart Thomas Manor will feature dishes designed to meet needs of cancer patients.

A Locust Valley-based organization is planning a special chef tasting later this month in Farmingdale to raise awareness of the challenges facing patients stricken with oral, head and neck cancer.

During and after treatment of these cancers, many patients must cope with various amounts of difficulty swallowing food, sometimes for the rest of their lives.

The event will feature foods explicitly prepared for these patients donated by chefs from restaurants across Long Island.
