Patch Picks: Five Local Romantic Spots

Choosing a restaurant for Valentine's Day can be difficult. Here is a list of restaurants that not only have great food but have a little something special to make the night romantic.

• Carlyle on the Green: This American-style restaurant is located in the famous Bethpage Park. Inside the country club building stands this restaurant, which is filled with plush couches and dim lighting to set the mood.
• Take a trip into the city without leaving Main Street. The newly renovated Chinese restaurant is a hit around town. The food at Lotus Garden never disappoints and the modern decor is perfect for any couple.
• : Amongst the hustle and bustle of Route 110 is this gem. The fondue-themed restaurant is a romantic spot any day of the week. Enjoy fine cheese fondue with vegetables and assorted breads. Don't forget the  chocolate and luscious strawberries for dessert.
• One of the smaller restaurants in Farmingdale, but it never fails its customers. The name says it all: it is tiny with great Thai food. The intimate setting is great for any party of two.
