Summer thunderstorms bring heavy rain and the chance of flash floods.

Severe weather moved through Farmingdale Monday. The skies blackened, thunder rumbled and a deluge ensued. 

Children riding the attractions at Adventureland scurried for cover and shoppers at Walmart made a made dash for their SUVs. Just another summer day, right?

But with sudden showers comes the threat of flooding.

Farmingdale firefighters needed to help trapped motorists June 7 at the flooded underpass between Fulton Street and Merritts Road.
