Upcoming Farmingdale Library Highlights

Activities especially for local residents.

This week at the Farmingdale Public Library, there are activities for writers, music lovers and yoga enthusiasts alike.

Tara Grando will be teaching yoga Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m., Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29 and Feb. 5 and 12. The fee is $25, and there are only a few spots left.

Creative writers can share their work and ideas with others with the Farmingdale Creative Writing Group that meats Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m.

Senior Connections meets Thursdays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. This week’s topic: coping with the flu season.

The Library Jazz Lounge is open Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Listen and dance to the music of the Paul Gatto Music Ensemble.

Parents, take your little ones to the Shredded Paper Snowman – a special storytime, featuring  the opportunity to design an eco-friendly snowman afterward. Spots are still available.

The Farmingdale Guitar Club meets from 6:45-8:45 p.m., Thursdays.
