VIDEO: Local Businesses Weather Storm

Power remained on, but many closed during the storm.

Businesses in the Village of Farmingdale boarded up their windows Friday in anticipation of the the approaching hurricane.

In the days after the storm, many report that business has been busy, since thousands of Farmingdale residents were without power at the beginning of the week.

Chris O'Donnell, owner of C & C Skate Factory, took all the skate boards and apparel out of his window just in case on Saturday. He said that his windows did not break despite the strong winds.

Mayor George Starkie said he hadn't heard of any Main Street businesses that lost power during the storm.
