Farmingdale Patch will be a valuable news and information source for the community. We'll be here seven days a week to tell you what's going on, whether you want to know what's happening at your child's school or Farmingdale State, what to do this weekend or village government initiatives. We will post stories several times each day and deliver news as it is happening through both the site and on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Planning a shopping excursion? Need the phone number of the local florist? Want to see a list of all the Farmingdale restaurants? This is where you'll find everything to know about the businesses that are right in your backyard. We'll give you their addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation and even maps to show you how to get there.

EVENTS

Do you need to know the time of the next village or school board meeting? Then our events section will be a great resource for you. Is your organization holding a fundraiser? You can upload your event right to the site. From board meetings to charity car washes to library programs, our calendar is a comprehensive compilation of everything that is going on in Farmingdale.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We also want to know the important things that are going on in the lives of Farmingdale residents. If you need volunteers for your organization, are getting married or your child won an award or honor please add it to our announcements section. NEWS

We want to cover everything that's important to you and our news section is divided into several categories: Arts, Business, Government, Opinion, Police and Fire, School News and Sports.

We'll keep you abreast of what's going on in Town and Village government and let you know how county and state news affects Farmingdale. We'll follow the Farmingdale School District and keep you informed about the decisions that are being made that will impact your child's education. We'll stay in touch with police and fire officials and report on crime or fires in the area. We'll be on top of the business community with profiles and news that affects the local economy. We'll hear from arts organizations and let you know about performances in the area. And if you're a die-hard Daler or Farmingdale State Rams fan, we'll let you know the score. We'll get opinions from local leaders or anyone with a good point to make. And if you have something you want to sound off about, let us know. Finally, we'll shine a spotlight on volunteers in the area.  You'll see profiles of their extraordinary work and we always want to hear from you about your efforts to improve Farmingdale.
