Asian-American Festival Kicks Off

Dance, music among the highlights at Farmingdale State.

The sixth annual Asian-American Festival starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at .

The daylong festival features costumes, displays, traditional and contemporary entertainment, martial arts exhibits, food and more.

Celebrate diversity on Long Island by bringing the whole family to the 6th Annual Asian-American Cultural Festival in the spacious Multi-Purpose Room of Farmingdale State College.

A staged theater performance is also on the schedule.

Those willing to test their skills are invited to compete in the first Asian-American Festival Idol. Contestants should supply their own downloadable music for a karaoke machine. Beneficiary of the event is Leadership Huntington.
