Classical Music Concert at Farmingdale State College

Featuring compositions by Farmingdale Professor Emeritus Helmuth Fuchs performed by piano great Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi

At Roosevelt Hall Little Theatre.

A unique classical music presentation featuring the original works of Dr. Helmuth H. Fuchs as well as well as works by Bach, Scarlatti, Mendelssohn, Gershwin, Chopin and Ginastera, will be performed by world-class pianist Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi.

Composer Helmuth Hans Fuchs, former professor of Chemistry at Farmingdale State College and “Composer-in Residence” of the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra, has had his musical works performed at Avery Fischer Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York City as well as throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.  Professor Fuchs will return to Farmingdale State for this concert.

In 1992 Dr. Fuchs’ composition “Schlummerlied” was played in recital at the White House before President George Bush, performed by our guest pianist Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi.

Ms. Bottazzi, the first Latin American to receive a doctorate from the Juilliard School, has had 17 appearances at Carnegie Hall and is the founder of the Pincault School of Music.

This is a not-to-be-missed concert. Admission is free and all are welcome.
