2 S.I.C. Second Stage Improve Comedy at Arena Players Repertory Theatre

Why Go:
  Watch "LI's Edgiest Improv Sensation." This short form comedy improv troupe delivers hilarious, high energy entertainment at a fast pace.  Enjoy a night of unique, original and sidesplitting live and unscripted comedy.  The audience controls much of the action by suggesting places, objects, and situations. The actors must improvise a scene around these suggestions. Audience members are encouraged to sit up front, fill up all the seats, relax, and have a good time.

Labor Day Weekend at the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport

Where:  American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale
When:
  Sept. 3 – 5, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
What:
  Come for activities that salute our military heritage including a Tuskegee Airmen Remembrance flight, Corsair fighters that pay tribute to one hundred years of American Naval Aviation, a C-47 Airborne “assault” and an armor parade that salutes those American GIs who rolled across France during the summer of 1944.  With period aircraft flying overhead and World War II armor rumbling down, the museum’s ramp flight experiences will also be available for those who want to travel back in time. Tram rides down the flight line will end at the restored control tower for those willing to climb to the top of the restored building. A special tribute will also be paid to former Long Island defense workers who worked at Grumman or Republic with a number of the museum’s historic Republic Aviation aircraft being displayed for the first time together in one place where they were built decades ago.

Seaford Fall Festival

Where:  Seaford Railroad Station, Sunrise Highway, Seaford
