The public is welcome to join the fun on "Read Across America Day" Saturday at the Farmingdale Public Library.
The events are planned all day, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. They include programs, special activities, contests, and prizes celebrating Dr. Seuss and reading all day long in the Children's Library.
In addition, you can even meet "The Cat in the Hat." He'll be available for pictures in the Children's Library from 3-4 p.m. After the picture, the Cat will have a surprise for the kids (parents: while supplies last.)
