Hundreds of artistic creations were on display at this year's Farmingdale School District Art Show, a district tradition for more than 15 years.
Student work from all grade levels was displayed in the lobby and hallways of throughout May.
Some works were honored as All-County selections and others were awarded by the Women's Club. Students used different techniques and mediums and were influenced by different artistic periods.
The Farmingdale art department also recently participated in the New York State Art Teachers Association Olympics of the Visual Arts competition in Saratoga. Farmingdale students won first place in the high school painting category and high school sculpture category, second place in the high school game design category and the middle school painting category, third place in the middle school game design category and most creative in the high school illustration category.
Farmingdale art teachers Eunice Vega and Ricki Weisfelner gave a video tour of the display, which will be be taken down this week.
