UPDATE: Cops Hunt Son in Brutal Attack on Dad In S. Farmingdale

Cops: 23-year-old flees scene, steals car and disappears.

Nassau police are looking for a 23-year-old man who attacked his father with a knife at his South Farmingdale home Friday.

Police said they are searching for Eric Georgoulakos of Grant Street, after a domestic dispute escalated between the son and his father.

The father was stabbed with a knife in the head and torso and left bleeding on the sidewalk not far from their home, a short walk from Farmingdale High School.

Police transported the 53-year-old father to an area hospital where he was admitted for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said.

Meanwhile, the son fled the scene and went to a nearby home on Washington Street, asking the residents if he could use the bathroom and the phone, police said.

But once inside, Georgoulakos took the keys to a tan 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer with Pennsylvania plate number HKE-2644 and fled in the stolen vehicle.
