Farmingdale Woman Goes Missing from NUMC

Police say she was last seen walking away in a blue dress with a black handbag.

A Farmingdale woman with psychological issues walked away from Nassau University Medical Center Thursday and has gone missing.

Nassau County Police issued a Silver Alert Thursday for Debbie Pofeldt, age unavailable, of Farmingdale. She was last seen at NUMC Thursday at about 7 a.m. and disappeared in the vicinity of Hempstead Turnpike.

Police said the photo attached to this story is about 10 years old.

Pofeldt now has long, blonde hair. She is described as 5'5" tall, weighing about 180 pounds with blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a navy blue dress and carrying a black handbag.

The woman suffers from schizophrenia and seizures and requires medication, police said. Her possible destination is her home in Farmingdale. She was last seen on foot.
