CCAF Presentation Will Help Residents Choose Health Care Plan

Expert to be on hand to sort out options, answer questions.

Beginning January, 2014 most people will be required to have health care insurance.

To help sort out the options, the Concerned Citizen’s Association of Farmingdale (CCAF) will hold an informational meeting of the NYS insurance options for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) on Nov. 21 at Allen Park. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council Director Stacey Villagran will present a powerpoint presentation, distribute handouts and answer questions regarding:

  • The coverage differences between the four health plan insurance options offered by NYS – bronze, silver, gold and platinum plans.
  • Help to select the best plan for your needs and budget
  • Determine eligibility for financial assistance to help pay for insurance
  • Help you to find the on-line insurance marketplace or complete your application. Please join us to help you to compare the NYS health care plan that’s right for you.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
