Chocolate Duck Hosts Gingerbread House Contest

Winners will be awarded in four categories.

The Chocolate Duck Candy Headquarters, which is located at 310 Main St. in Farmingdale, is hosting a Gingerbread house contest on Nov. 16.

The deadline to register is Nov. 1. Applicants don't need to make a housebut other structures are welcomed as well. Trains, bridges and ships are welcomed as well, as are other creative ideas.

From Newsday: The entries will be judged by Christina Bisbee, co-owner of The Chocolate Duck and a contestant on Food Network’s "Challenge" and "Last Cake Standing"; Micheline Cummings, owner of Madame Butterfly Cakes in Babylon and Ralph Ekstrand, mayor of Farmingdale.
