Stew Leonard's Wines will sample 10 cheeses specially selected to enhance and enrich the flavors of 10 classic wines. We’ll taste 5 white wines including Olivier LeFlaive Chablis with brie, La Torre Gavi with asiago, Azure Hill Riesling with gruyere, Fantinel Santa Caterina Pinot Grigio with a fresh creamy goat cheese, and Willm Reserve Alsace Gewurztraminer with a mild semi hard cow’s milk cheese from the French Alps. Red lovers will enjoy Expo 2008 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon paired with Local New York State Extra Sharp Cheddar, Serranobile “Le Aje” Barbera and Nebbiolo Langhe Piedmont with Italian Fontina, Escala Malbec with Manchego, Todd Lauren Pinot Noir with a mild gouda, and Noval Black Porto with blue cheese Stilton.
