Santa's Ride through South Farmingdale

Where:
When: Dec. 17, 12 p.m.
Why Go: Be on the lookout- Santa is hitting the streets of South Farmingdale.  The department will host Santa Claus for the day and will be bringing him through the South Farmingdale Fire District. Be sure to listen for the sounds of holiday music and the horns from the rigs. Come out when Santa is in your neighborhood for some special holiday treats and to wave to Santa.

Second Annual Farmingdale Santa Pub Crawl

Where:
When: Dec. 17, 3 p.m.
Why Go:
Crawlers sign in at Library Cafe and will receive an official 2011 pub crawl bracelet. They will spend 45 minutes at every Farmingdale pub, each offering different $3 drink specials. Library Café will offer $3 Bud Lights and $3 Yuenglings and will continue the special all-night for Santa crawlers. All donations go to “Toys For Tots” and will be used to give gifts to the less fortunate children of Nassau County.
Pricing: $10 registration fee.

Meet Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino

Where:
When: Dec. 17, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Why Go: Stew Leonard's invites fans to meet Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Devotion Vodka at this special bottle signing event. Devotion Vodka is "the world's first and only sugar free, gluten free, 80 proof, four column distilled protein infused vodka made in the USA." Bottles of Devotion Vodka will be available for purchase at the price of $19.99. NOTE: Sorrentino will only autograph bottles of Devotion Vodka purchased at Stew Leonard's and will be unable to autograph any other memorabilia. Fans age 21 and younger must be accompanied by a parent.

Singer Showcase

Where:
When: Dec. 17, 8:30 p.m.
Why Go:
Hear local residents showcase their musical talent at the local bowling alley.

Holiday Fundraiser

Where:
When: Dec. 18, 11 a.m.
Why Go: Between Church services there will be Christmas decorations, holiday gifts and household items for sale to benefit the church.

Breakfast with Santa at Carlyle on the Green

Where:
When: Dec. 18, all day
Why Go: Have a delicious breakfast and get a complimentary photo with Santa.
Pricing: $24.95 per person, $12.95 children 12 and under.

Annual Family Chanukah Party for Children with Special Needs

Where:
When: Dec. 18, 12:45 p.m.
Why Go: Family fun for children with autism or special needs, including pizza, bounce time, crafts and more. RSVP by calling 631-351-8672 or emailing friendshipcircle@thechaicenter.com

Family Sundays at the Nassau County Museum of Art

Where:
When:
Dec. 18, 1 p.m.
Why Go:
Spend Sunday visiting the exhibits with your family. There is a walk-through of the exhibition at 1 p.m. and beginning at 1:30pm there are supervised art activities for the whole family. There are special family guides of the main exhibition available in the galleries free with museum admission.
Pricing: Admission varies. Weekend parking fee is $2 (members free).
