Lexus Comes to Farmingdale

Massapequa Park’s Lexus dealership, a Sunrise Highway fixture since 1989, will be leaving for a new facility in Farmingdale by year’s end. 

The dealership, one of 22 operated by NY Auto Giant, is making the move to house both sales and service departments under one roof. Sales is currently located at 4950 Sunrise Highway while Lexus services vehicles at 141 Albany Ave. in Amityville.

When Patch first reported the relocation in March 2011, Lexus planned to move by the end of the year. Two years later the dealership seems closer to making the leap.

Construction has begun at the new location along the busy Route 110 corridor at 2100 Broadhollow Road. General Manager William Finsilver expects a fourth quarter opening.

Finsilver said the market has shifted in the quarter century since Lexus of Massapequa opened. The move places the dealership closer to the affluent North Shore and in a more central location, easily accessible from Nassau or Suffolk.
