Ranked in the top 400 by Engineering News-Record for the last five years, Posilico shot up 39 positions to No. 283 this year.
The magazine's rankings are based on company revenues from the previous year.
Posillico said it improved its ranking despite difficult economic conditions that continue to plague large contractors in the United States.
