Communications Supervisor, LIRR

Duties:

Plan, monitor and coordinate construction / maintenance activities ensuring safe, cost effective, high quality performance, including field supervision.

Enforce provisions of labor agreements ensuring communication of same to employees.

  • Provide technical support to communication forces.
  • Work with other LIRR departments
  • Lead safety meetings as per policy; conduct regular safety audits.
  • Investigate on-the-job accidents for cause and prevention.
  • Investigate failures as resulting in train delays to determine causes and future prevention as directed.
  • Take all necessary steps to maintain safe, reliable train service
  • Administer testing and evaluations for new employees.
  • Review time and payroll reports for accuracy.
  • Monitor material usage and material reports to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Conduct training sessions on technical and safety issues as required.
  • Attend company meetings as required.
  • Conduct audits to ensure conformance to policies.
  • The supervisor must be available 24/7 for operations support and to address any service related disruptions. 

Systems Support Specialist, Molloy College

Duties:

  • Serve as primary contact for Jenzabar technical support for college.
  •  Manage and coordinate Jenzabar support calls using the IT call management system.
  •  Become an active member of all relevant Jenzabar listservs, acquiring and sharing knowledge with members of the Jenzabar support and administration communities.
  •  Respond to support requests in a timely manner and keep end users informed of how and when problems are resolved.
  • Assume administrative and configuration responsibilities for each Jenzabar module.
  • Work closely with module managers to insure conformity to established standard.

Duties:

  • Ensures vendors are contacted via telephone, email, internet, or fax, and provide pertinent credit card information

  • Engages in the emergency repair and maintenance of treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.

  • Diagnoses problems and performs repairs in facilities and systems
