couldn't believe it could happen at 'Waldbaums' !!! yes'day (wed) at the end of the frozen foods, (in the back) was a single rail rack, with 10-12 bags of pistacchio nuts, (a brand i'm not familiar with BUT....a 16 oz bag, u could see (as advertised on the front of the bag) large, easy to open 'nuts', (i'm a sucker for large pistacch nuts, i don't care if they're from Calif, Turkey, or even Iran) AND they're was an affixed coupon for an 'instant' $ l-- off ! BUT.....the coupon exp 9/30/10 !!! i couldn't find an expiration date, they looked fine, and i still wanted it, SO.....i went to the manager, showed him the coupon, asked for a 'deal' (not knowing what the retail price was with, or w/o the coupon) WELL......the manager found the exp date on the bag, it was 1/10/11....... SO, not only he refused to sell it to me ! (i understand the 'potential for a lawsuit, god forbid those nuts are tainted) AND...... i couldn't go back and grab another bag, BECAUSE.....the mngr insisted i show him where i got 'em, i wasn't gonna say ''no'' (i shop waldbaums all the time) and they ( the remaining bags) were removed !!! I WONDER, is there any other perishable items lurking in the nooks & cranny's, or even in plain sight, @ Waldbaums ??? !!! I'll be checkin' exp dates w/more frequency, whodahellknows ??? !!! ps- found the 'Patch) by accident, keep up the good work (amanda ?) i am 'coop'
