You Said It: Keep $5 ATM Fees Out of Farmingdale

ATM fee hikes may arrive soon.

Would you pay $5 to use an ATM at a bank other than your own?

In Illinois, Chase Bank is charging residents $5 to use its ATMs if they're not bank customers. Over in Texas the bank is charging non-customers $4. In Farmingdale, the four branches currently charge non-customers $2 per transaction, plus any fees from the home bank's side.

Other banks, like TD, had no ATM fees before changing the policy in recent years.
