CARACARA MEXICAN GRILL CELEBRATES THIRD ANNIVERSARY

(June 19, 2014) – June is a month of celebrations and the official start of summer. Caracara Mexican Grill in Farmingdale is celebrating their third Anniversary from June 23rd to June 30th, and extending specials all week long!

Owners Tony Kathreptis and Peter Rousakis, along with Chef Daniel Mendoza, extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff, patrons and friends who have contributed to our incredible success since opening in June 2011. “Farmingdale is a vibrant downtown with a great mix of shops, restaurants and character; we are thrilled to be part of the Main Street, Village community,” said Tony Kathreptis. 

Dine at Caracara, indoors or on their outdoor patio, June 23rd through June 30th, during anniversary week and receive a 25% off voucher for July 2014, one per table. Specials that week also include $5 Margaritas and Sangria (and $6 Peach Sangria).  They’re also offering a special on gift cards.  Purchase $100 in gift cards and receive a $20 gift card free!  Caracara gift cards are perfect for year-end teacher gifts, coaches and those celebrating graduation this month!

There is always something special going on at Caracara! Thursday night is Ladies Night from 7 – 10 PM featuring the sweet sounds of guitarist, Ken Sambolin. Monday – Friday from 4 – 7 PM is Happy Hour (Hora Feliz) in the lounge, and Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays! Caracara features live music in the Tequila Lounge on weekends. Upcoming shows include Farmingdale’s Electric Dudes on Friday night June 20th, Latinology on Saturday night June 21st, and White Chocolate Revue, a lively trio on Friday night June 27th.

For tequila aficionados – Caracara features over 100 brands/types, something for every taste. The restaurant is famous for their fresh guacamole – prepared right at your table and delicious, trendy Mexican dishes such as Shrimp Tamal, Pollo Relleno and Camarones Tropical, along with signature Frozen Margaritas! Caracara is popular with singles, college students, couples and families.

Caracara Mexican Grill is a friendly upscale restaurant serving modern and traditional Mexican cuisine, featuring a Tequila Lounge with live music on weekends and a lovely outdoor patio. Located at 354 Main Street in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York, Caracara was founded in June 2011 by Tony Kathreptis and Peter Rousakis. They are actively involved in the Farmingdale community, members of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and on the Farmingdale Downtown Master Plan Implementation Committee (DMPIC). 

Recently, Caracara was voted 2014's best Mexican Restaurant on Long Island by readers of the Long Island Press and was the recipient of the Long Island Food Critic “2013 Restaurant Award for Fine Mexican Cuisine”.
