'Main Event' Opens In Farmingdale
Popular sports bar expands franchise to Route 110 location.
"The Main Event," the popular sports bar in Plainview, has opened a new location in Farmingdale just off Route 110.
The new restaurant is in the former “Kodiaks” and has been renovated to include more than 20 wide-screen TVs and a new sports theme. The menu is similar to Plainview’s, with a wide assortment of entrees, appetizers and specials.
The Plainview location has proven to be a major gathering spot for parties and Sunday football crowds, and typically is open late. The new location is on the east side of Route 110 across from the Farmingdale State College campus and just north of Conklin Avenue and Republic Airport.
