On behalf of Patch, I would like to wish Farmingdale residents celebrating the holiday today a Merry Christmas and everyone in the community a happy 2012.
It's , with so many festive events and traditions. But I was most touched by the following stories, which to me embody what the holidays are all about- giving and appreciating. On this Christmas, I hope you'll take the time to read them:
A Farmingdale resident was Santa for more than 200 kids this season by funding a $20,000 shopping spree.
Anonymous donors paid outstanding layaway accounts at the Farmingdale Walmart.
The touching story behind one home's tropical decorations on Conklin Street.
Also remember to come back to Patch every day this week as we recap 2011's top Farmingdale stories.
Merry Christmas!
