Service Resumes on LIRR Ronkonkoma Branch

Tracks have been repaired after the morning accident.

Tracks have been repaired and service in both directions has been restored on the LIRR Ronkonkoma line, following a train striking a truck east of Deer Park

The LIRR will operate "near normal" service for the afternoon rush hour, the MTA said in a statement. Some delays and cancellations may occur, so commuters are advised to check the MTA website for schedule updates.

Service was suspended in both directions between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale until 2 p.m. Customers were encouraged to utilize other LIRR branches, including the Huntington/Port Jefferson branch and the Babylon Branch, and Deer Park commuters were bussed to the Hicksville station.
