VIDEO: American Airpower Museum's Labor Day Tribute Flight
The museum offered a realistic military experience during Labor Day weekend.
in Farmingdale celebrated Labor Day weekend by hosting flights aboard the museum's 66-year-old C 4-7 airplane.
Vice President of the Airpower Museum Gary Lewi said he believes these historical flights are a positive way to allow others to celebrate Labor Day.
"I think we need to use these holidays as a means of compelling people to look back and understand their American heritage," he said.

Kings Park resident and Navy veteran Dennis Lyons said he was pleased with his flight.
"It thought it was fantastic, very realistic. The people involved took it seriously. They didn't make a joke of it," he said. "They got real knowledge of what it was like on D-Day."
